Sabali is a term of endearment, meaning "patience" in bambara. the bambara people are an ethnic group located in Mali, Guinea, Burkina Faso & Senegal. They are known for creating Bògòlanfini, More commonly known as mudcloth.
The Sabali Collection incorporates the beauty of this African textile in unique & creative ways. Each purse was hand-painted, stenciled, & block printed using acrylic leather paint. Handmade metal, glass, wooden, & crystal beads are also incorporated into each design.
